Crimson Silence reimagines the traditional still life as an emotional landscape rather than a simple arrangement of flowers. Inspired by the Croatian concept of mrtva priroda ("still life"), Hrvoje moves beyond representation to explore memory, atmosphere and the quiet emotions that familiar objects can evoke.
Rendered in a rich monochromatic palette of deep crimson, burgundy and scarlet, the flowers become more than decorative forms. They invite the viewer to imagine what lies beyond the visible - the lingering fragrance, the silence of the room and the memories that scent can awaken. The restrained palette allows light and shadow to carry as much meaning as colour itself.
Rather than celebrating flowers for their beauty alone, Crimson Silence transforms the still life into a meditation on perception. Every brushstroke encourages the viewer to slow down, look more closely and experience the painting beyond sight, discovering the quiet emotional presence that exists within ordinary moments.
